Hall of Fame coach Lute Olson shares the complete offensive philosophy that helped make Arizona one of the premier fast paced and disciplined programs in college basketball.

Known for generating quick scoring opportunities while maintaining offensive balance and structure, Coach Olson explains how his teams pressured opponents on both ends of the floor and consistently attacked defenses from baseline to baseline.

The presentation begins with Arizona's designated lane fast break system. Coaches will learn how the break is initiated through a diagonal cut by the point guard for the outlet pass and how early offense opportunities are created through penetration, high-low action, and cutters coming off down screens.

Coach Olson also details important post play teaching points, including how post players "sit on the thigh" of the defender to establish strong sealing position and create high percentage scoring opportunities inside.

Against full court and 3/4 court pressure, Olson demonstrates Arizona's pressure offense. Coaches will see how diagonal cuts and sideline entries are used to eliminate pressure quickly and attack both diamond and 2-2-1 zone presses. These concepts can flow naturally from both man-to-man and zone alignments.

The half court offense centers around Arizona's versatile 1-4 High package. Coach Olson explains why he favors the alignment and demonstrates the multiple options available from wing entries, post entries, and inside-out offensive reads. The philosophy of "pressure outside, pass inside" teaches players how to read the defense and make the correct entry decisions within the offense.
