The foundation of this system begins with measurable defensive goals. Coaches will learn how to hold opponents to low shooting percentages, force turnovers, limit assists, and control the rhythm of the game. These standards create a defensive identity and give players clear benchmarks to pursue every time they take the floor.

Coach Heiar then introduces a series of reminder drills designed to build the habits required to execute pressure defense at a high level. Through drills such as Zig Zag 1-on-1, Poke and Pop, Plant Push and Show, and 1 to 5 Buildup, players learn how to apply pressure aggressively without sacrificing discipline or positioning.
